Dr. James E Kelly III, MD

Dr. James E. Kelly III was born in the small rural town of Swanton, Vermont. Dr. Kelly graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors of Science.  He went on to complete his Masters in Business Administration through the University of Southern California.

Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Kelly worked for the Digital Corporation out of Burlington, Vermont.

In 1983 Dr. Kelly left Vermont to attend medical school, complete his internships, specialties, and resided in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, for approximately 12 years.  Dr. Kelly left Canada in 1995 where he went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at the world-renowned Kleinert Institution in Louisville, Kentucky.

In 1996 Dr. Kelly was recruited by Holt Krock Clinic in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he has remained since.  In 1999 Dr. Kelly became an independent surgeon, and has worked for all three area hospital organizations over the past 15 years.

Dr. Kelly is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in Plastic Surgery, as well as Hand Surgery.

He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Micro Surgeons, Arkansas Medical Society, Sebastian County Medical Society, and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Canada.

Dr. Kelly is married and has four children.  He enjoys boating, fishing, motorcycles, skiing, trap shooting, hunting, and is a licensed commercial pilot, as well as certified PADI dive instructor.  When he is not at work you can always find him in his plane, underwater, in the woods, or traveling the world with his wife and children.
